Lil Wayne had to cancel his performance at a St. Louis venue last Saturday. The rapper was supposed to perform with Blink-182 on their North American co-headlining tour on September 14th. Wayne’s skip was due to law enforcement issues, Billboard reports.
There have been question marks hanging over Lil Wayne and Blink-182’s co-headlining tour since it started. The Grammy-winning rapper and influential pop-punk trio surprisingly announced their summer tour after the releases of bizarre mash-up of “A Milli” and “What’s My Age Again?” Since then, the inaugural trek has been bumpy. The tour first had a suspect quit from Lil Wayne, who only performed a 20-minute set at the Jiffy Lube Live venue in Bristow, Virginia. The quitting rumor was cleared up by Wayne himself, who clarified how much fun he had with Blink-182 on tour.
Wayne’s gig on September 14th involved him getting kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton hotel he was staying at.
Event organizers later confirmed Lil Wayne couldn’t attend the gig at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre. However, Blink-182’s performance was still on schedule with the supporting performance coming from U.K. rock band Neck Deep.
Blink-182 and Lil Wayne’s co-headlining tour wraps up in Cincinnati, OH tonight. The rapper confirmed he will perform at the last stop at the Riverbend Music Center.
