Touché Amoré Team Up with Unlikely Collaborator in Producer Ross Robinson for New Song “Deflector”

Hardcore band Touché Amoré have released a new single entitled “Deflector,” which was produced by Ross Robinson, who is best known for working with nu metal bands such as Korn, Limp Bizkit and Slipknot. This new single will be featured as a 7″ alongside one of their most recent song releases “Green,” which debuted last year.

Like their previous single, “Defector,” is also anthemic, featuring heart pounding riffs and intense screams delivered by their vocalist. Toward the latter part of the track the song features a mellower break, which transitions into a moment of a strong sonic build up before it climaxes into the heavy screaming vocals once again. Robinson’s pristine production style can be heard throughout the track, which still manages to capture their raw emotions.

While Robinson is best known for producing nu-metal acts throughout his career, he has produced for other hardcore acts such as Glassjaw, The Blood Brothers and most notably, At The Drive In. He produced At The Drive In’s 2000 album Relationship Of Command, which helped the band achieve mainstream success.

“This time around, we need to take a chance with the unfamiliar. Someone who would take us out of our comfort zone. Enter Ross Robinson. A man who knows no comfort zone,” the band’s singer Jeremy Bolm stated in a press release.”I followed his career all through my youth to being a young adult. When we returned from our recent Midwest tour, we entered the studio to record a song with Ross and see if there was chemistry.”
