Post Malone has had some of the most successful years an artist could have since he released his debut album, Stoney. The hits have only gone on and on from there with his Grammy-nominated album Beerbongs and Bentleys going triple platinum. It almost seems like Post Malone can’t get any bigger than he is now, but with the release of his third studio album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, he intends to do just that. The album was released today at midnight and to great anticipation; the record offers some good songs and unique features. In past albums, Malone has always worked with other hip-hop and pop artists such as Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, and even Kehlani, but in this album, he has decided to do something a little different. Calling for some help from none other than the Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne.
In addition to recruiting Ozzy for help on his track, “Take What You Want,” he also decided to get some help from fellow hip-hop superstar, Travis Scott. I’m sure no one would have ever thought that Travis Scott and Ozzy Osbourne would be on the same song, but the two deliver solid performances that leave fans wanting to listen to more. The song starts out with what seems like a modernized pop music take on a classic Ozzy Osbourne song then bleeds into the hook where you can hear the well-known Prince of Darkness vocals. After Post Malone’s first verse and Scott’s feature, the song breaks into a unique electric guitar solo with Malone and Osbourne singing back and forth before the song fades out. “Take What You Want From Me” shows Post Malone’s evolution as an artist and his ability to blend two types of music together to create something unique that fans will enjoy.
In addition to securing a historical feature with Post Malone, Ozzy has been busy working on his own music. Announcing earlier this year that he was working on putting together a vinyl box set that would contain 173 of his biggest hits, 10 posters, 12 augmented reality experiences that feature live performances, and to top it all off a certificate autographed by the prince of darkness himself. The retail value of the See You On The Other Side vinyl box set is priced at $499 and will be released on November 29th. Pre-orders for the set are available here.
