The wait is finally over! Nirvana’s 1993 Live And Loud concert has been released on vinyl and streaming services via Universal Music. Most excitingly, fans can now enjoy the recording of the full concert on Nirvana’s official YouTube channel and in much better quality than anything previously uploaded by fans. The full concert has been separated into individual YouTube videos for each song that is a relic of the 90s grunge era. The grunge legends’ performances serve as a trigger for elation and nostalgia, both evocative and uneasy.
Nirvana’s performance for the MTV Live and Loud concert at Seattle’s Pier 48 on December 13 in 1993 has become legendary for fans of rock in general. The set was performed by the final touring line-up of Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl and guitarist Pat Smear. Live video was aired on MTV and later the audio was recorded as a CD version that also included a DVD. The extra disc and DVD were part of a celebration of the band’s 20th-anniversary and were included in the In Utero reissue. 1993 Live and Loud concert has never had a standalone release on CD or vinyl until now, Consequence of Sound reports.
A limited-edition 180-gram 2LP color vinyl edition of 1993 MTV Live and Loud performance is available for purchase. Check out the Live and Loud tracklist below. The band previously released an individual vinyl of their 1991 performance Live at the Paramount, a show recorded at a Seattle venue on Halloween in 1991.
