“Sending out an invitation to everyone to join us and share in the celebration of our 40 year Anniversary. We have picked some of our favorite bands for a spectacular bill. We couldn’t have done it without our fans so thank you!” bandmate Mike Ness stated in a press release. The band formed in 1978 and is from Fullerton, CA, not too far from Irvine. The group has released seven studio albums thus far, with their highly anticipated eighth record set to be released sometime this year. Ness signed a new record deal with Concord Music, confirming a new Social Distortion album is on its way, their first in 11 years.
The band last performed at the annual Sea.Here.Now festival in Asbury Park, NJ last year. The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen joined the band on stage and performed “Bad Luck,” “Misery Loves Company” and their rendition of “Ring of Fire.”
