Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross To Score New Pixar Movie Soul Starring Questlove, Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Daveed Diggs

Prolific composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have teamed up once again for another film score. This upcoming project will be for the newest Pixar movie, Soul. Soul‘s all-star voice acting roster includes the voices of actor/singer Jamie Foxx, drummer Questlove, comedian Tina Fey, actor/rapper Daveed Diggs, and many more. According to Pitchfork, the film will be directed by current Pixar chief creative officer Pete Docter (also responsible for Pixar hits Up and Inside Out), and follow the story of a music teacher (Foxx) working toward his dream of performing at the New York jazz club The Blue Note.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have achieved an unbelievable amount of success as a film composition duo. Essentially since every one of their scores receives universal critical acclaim, including an Oscar win for their iconic The Social Network score (one of the pair’s many collaboration with legendary director David Fincher). Some of their other notable scores include Gone Girl, Mid90s, and Bird Box.

Matthew Jordan: I grew up in Massachusetts, but I am currently a student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I picked up my first musical instrument (viola) in the 3rd grade, and have been a fan of everything the medium has to offer ever since. Some of my favorite artists right now include Matt Maltese, Idles, MIKE, Benny the Butcher, Standing on the Corner, Built to Spill, and Frank Ocean. I also love following the charts and the music business to see what is connecting with listeners and why.
