Indie rock group The 1975 have just released a new music video for their track “People.” In addition, the group have pushed back the release date for their upcoming album Notes On A Conditional Form, which is now slated to be released next February on Dirty Hit and Interscope Records.

The group takes an abrasive approach with this latest song, as heavily distorted guitars and a pounding drum beat give this track a punk rock feel, which is matched by their vocalist Matt Healy’s aggressive delivery. The music video shows the group in a box-like room, as different visuals are shown in the background, while the band is performing.

Warning, this video may trigger complications for those with epilepsy:

This forthcoming album was originally set to be released this month, however only those close to the band know why the release is being delayed.

“We’re at a time now when people enjoy that level of emotional investment, as long as it’s rewarding. And I make albums. I don’t make singles,” Healy stated in recent interview for GQ. “So I’ve just got to make another album. Also, to feel like I have a purpose, because otherwise what the fuck am I doing?”

Earlier this year, Healy also kissed male fan in Dubai to protest the nation’s anti-LGBT laws, with the singer stating on social media:

“Thank you Dubai you were so amazing. I don’t think we’ll be allowed back due to my ‘behaviour’ but know that I love you and I wouldn’t have done anything differently given the chance again…But who knows maybe they will let me back in let’s just wait and see :)”
