Missy Elliott Announces Collection of New Songs Titled Iconology To Be Released Tonight

Rap legend Missy Elliott is releasing what she is calling a “collection of songs,” called Iconology tonight, which will consist of entirely new material. At the moment it is unknown if this collection is an EP or a full album. The artist’s last full album The Cookbook was released in 2005.

“This year has been a tremendous year for me…I am humbled and grateful. THANK YOU for allowing me to smell the roses,” Missy Elliott stated in an Instagram post.”You, my fans, and God are the reason I am here and have celebrated every milestone with me! So, I have a SURPRISE for you… let’s continue the celebration at midnight tonight…I’m dropping a collection of new songs!”

While it has been some time since the artist has released solo material, she was featured on a recent track by Lizzo entitled “Tempo,” earlier this year. The artist also held headlining set at the last FYF festival in 2017.
