Chelsea Wolfe Navigates the World as a Women in New Video for “Be All Things”

Chelsea Wolfe is releasing an album of folky, acoustic-inspired songs called The Birth of Violence next month and today she has released a video for the latest single. “Be All Things” is a song that Wolfe says is about “navigating the world as a women: reconciling the soft and the strong, balancing the warrior and the goddess, and wanting to be everything and nothing at the same time.” In other words, trying to be all things.

The video was shot in the Moaning Cavern in Northern California near Yosemite National Park, adding an eerie yet beautiful visuals to the song. As a child, Wolfe had visited and sang at the natural wonder, a marble cave 450 feet deep. Other scenes were shot near her childhood home, a Victorian era hotel and Southwest Iceland when she was shooting the cover of The Birth of Violence.

“Be All Things” follows previously released singles from the album, “American Darkness” and “The Mother Road”. You can catch her on tour in October and November, when she’ll perform acoustic sets. Her full band will join her for her next official performance at Pasadena Daydream, the festival curated by The Cure and featuring artists like Deftones, Mogwai, The Joy Formidable and more.
