TEEN Call It Quits and Announce Farewell Shows In Brooklyn And Chicago

Indie rock band TEEN have announced their decision to move on and end the band, after more than nine years of performing together. Although this is a relatively unexpected announcement, the band will be offering a final farewell to their fans and will be performing October 27th in Chicago at at the Hideout and on October 30th at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York City.

“After almost ten years of being an active band, TEEN have decided to move on,” the band explained on social media. “It was a difficult decision to leave behind such a special, dear project, but we are also enthusiastic about what the future will bring.”

TEEN formed in Brooklyn back in 2010, and became noted for their blend of genres, which often blended forms of electronic music with indie rock. Their most recent album Good Fruit was released earlier this year, and was accompanied by European tour which will go on until October.

While this year will mark the end of the band’s run, they expressed gratefulness for their final run:

“It has been a long, exciting, and arduous road, colored with unbelievable experiences and opportunities. We have been incredibly fortunate to continue as a touring band for all these years.”
