After recently losing a lawsuit regarding her track “Dark Horse,” Katy Perry now finds herself in more legal trouble, as a former actor in one of her music videos has accused her of sexual harassment. Josh Kloss, who starred in Perry’s “Teenage Dream” music video, took to Instagram to discuss the incident as the nine year anniversary of the song closes in. The actor stated that he got to know Perry due to his involvement in the music video, which led to the altercation in question.
In his posts, Kloss alleges that Katy Perry harassed him at a party by pulling his pants to reveal his penis in front of a crowd. Prior to this, the actor had been a large fan of Perry and states he was shocked by her actions. Kloss goes on to write that he was told by Perry’s representatives to never say anything bad about the singer and that in interviews surrounding the music video he was told exactly how to answer about his relationship with Katy Perry.
Kloss’ posts discuss the fact that he had always been too scared to share his experiences with the world, but decided now to break his silence. The actor also wrote that Perry consistently uses her music and her image to bring positivity into the world, while he alleges he had seen a different side of her. Kloss immediately received backlash from Perry’s fans, who accused him of making up the story to get attention. Josh responded to this in one of his posts, writing that he respected her fans for standing by somebody they care about, but that they should be putting their energy into people who are, in his view, more respectful towards those the work with. As of now there is no way to tell whether or not these allegations are true, with Kloss only having his word as proof. Hopefully as time goes on more light will be shed on the subject and the public will be able to figure out exactly what happened.
