Metal bands Static-X and Devildriver have announced a joint tour in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Static-X’s debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip. The tour will kick off at Emo’s in Austin, Texas on November 8th, and conclude at Sunshine Studios in Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 8th. Dope and Raven Black round out the billing as support acts. While the Sunshine Studios show is the final co-headlining show with Static-X and Devildriver, Static-X will continue to tour from December 10th to December 18th with another fellow metal artist, Wednesday 13. Other notable dates for the Static-X and Devildriver tour include a Sony Hall show in New York City on November 24th, a House of Blues show in New Orleans, and a show at the unique Green Bay Distillery venue in Green Bay, Wisconsin on December 3rd.
Static-X reunited in 2018 with founding members Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, Ken Jayout and new member Xer0. The fourth and only other founding member, Wayne Static, unfortunately passed away in 2014 after a prescription drug overdose. The band announced their next full-length project, Project Regeneration, in late 2018. The album is expected for release later this year.
Devildriver most recent project, Outlaws ‘Til The End Vol. 1, was released in July 2018 on Napalm Records. The group has already announced the completion of their next project, a double album with over 20 songs. As of right now, there is no official release date.
