Royal Trux Announces Collaborative EP With Ariel Pink Entitled Pink Stuff For September 2019 Release

Royal Trux has announced a new joint EP with fellow band Ariel Pink. The new EP, titled Pink Stuff is set for a September 6 release date and will include five reworked tracks from Royal Trux’s latest critically acclaimed album White Stuff via Fat Possum. It will also be released as a 7″ vinyl, with the first track of the album “Suburban Junky Lady (Ariel Pink Remix)” now available to stream on all streaming platforms.

White Stuff is the band’s first studio album in 19 years, with their last being Pound for Pound in 2000. They first teased their latest album late last year, releasing two songs “Every Day Swan” and “Get Used to This” featuring Kool Keith. Glide Magazine described it as an incredibly enjoyable dip into the dumpster of dirty grooving rock and roll whose sound is surprisingly appropriate thirty years after their formation.”

The band had been scheduled to hit the road with the album earlier this year but has been canceled after being postponed twice due to n unresolved issue around bandmate Jennifer Herrema’s past arrest. Further details of the arrest were not released but it was mentioned that Herrema did not receive jail time and she later that stated that “Shit could definitely be worse.” Let’s hope they will be gracing the stage at some point.
