Kid Cudi has announced a new album titled Entergalastic, which will serve as the soundtrack to a new animated Netflix show. Cudi is slated to write, executive produce and star in the new series. According to Pitchfork, the series will follow a young man on his journey to discover love. A releases date has yet to be announced but the rapper did update fans via Twitter about the show, hinting at a 2020 release. “I know a year from now seems like forever but it’ll be here before u know it!” See the full tweet below.
The new album will be his first release of new solo music since his 2016 album Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin.’ Last year, he collaborated with Kanye West for their joint album Kids See Ghosts. West joined Cudi on stage at Coachella this year during his set to perform songs from the joint venture as well as other collaborations they have worked on including “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” “Ghost Town,” and “Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)”
Cudi is currently scheduled to headline the annual Hard Summer Music Festival, taking place in Fontana, CA Aug. 3 and 4 alongside Dillon Francis, Major Lazer, RL Grime, Juice WRLD, and JPEG Mafia to name a few.
