Korn released a powerful track, “You’ll Never Find Me” which is excellent in pitch and tone throughout its entirety. The vocals ring true with phrase, “I’m lost, you’ll never find me.” The intro includes heavy guitar against the signature Korn sound before Jonathan Davis (vocalist) comes through with his unique harmonizing voice. Korn’s new LP, THE NOTHING, will be released September 13 via Elektra Records / Roadrunner Records. The album is available for pre-order here.
Davis collaborated with Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins for their new single “You’ll Never Find Me.” According to the PRP, Davis spoke at a fan Q&A event about the collaboration, stating “We sat in two chairs like this and he picked up an acoustic guitar and he started playing the chord progressions while I was singing the melodies.”
Davis shared the following about the upcoming album, “Deep, within our Earth lives an extraordinary force. Very few are aware of the magnitude and significance of this place where good/evil, dark/light, bliss/torment, loss/gain and hope/despair all exist as one- pulling at us every moment of our lives. It’s not something we can choose to navigate, but rather an awareness of this ‘presence’ that surrounds us with every breath, as if we are being watched at every moment. It’s the place where black and white energies attach themselves to our souls, and shape our emotion, choices, perspective and ultimately our very existence. There is a miraculous and small realm within this vortex and it’s the only place where balance between these dynamic and polarizing forces exists -where the soul finds its refuge. Welcome to…..THE NOTHING.”
The band will co-headline their tour with Alice In Chains with Underoath as special guests on all dates and Ho99o9 and FEVER 333 on some dates. The tour includes regional stops across the United States before wrapping up in California. The band has sold more than 40 million records worldwide and defined a genre in the 90’s with multiple hits like, “Got the Life”, “Freak on a Leash”, “Blind”, “Falling Away from Me”, “Shoots and Ladders” and many more. Back in the day, there was nothing like watching Korn play live as the crowd would literally lose their minds. They defined a genre with a sound that roared with ferocity.
The band includes vocalist Jonathan Davis, guitarists James “Munky” Shaffer and Brian “Head” Welch, bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and drummer Ray Luzier. On November 10, 1999, their debut album was certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. In 2003, Billboard reported that Korn sold at least 2,100,000 copies in the United States.
