Los Angeles native punk band Bad Religion has rocked fans with some great news: they released tour dates for their 2019 North American tour this fall. The tour will get its start in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and end in Sacramento, California.
The 18 show tour was made in celebration of the band’s latest album “Age of Unreason,” which released in May. This is the group’s seventeenth album, giving them the veteran punk rock status they deserve.
The tour will have a political bent to it as the new album consists of songs about racist rallies, Trump’s election, the erosion of the middle class, Colin Kaepernick’s protest, alternative facts and conspiracy theories. This goes along with Bad Religion’s reputation of being a band of social justice anthems that call out the injustices in the world.
Last year Bad Religion released a song called “The Profane Rights of Man,” which calls out the “criminal” elite and urges people to value human rights during the current political climate.
The fall tour announcement follows the band’s summer leg, which ends August 16 in Las Vegas. The opening acts are Dave Hause and his band, The Mermaid and Emily Davis + The Murder Police. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 19.
