Mad Decent Block Party Cancelled Due To “Circumstance Outside Beyond Our Control” According To Statement

The upcoming Mad Decent Block Party festival has been cancelled due to unforeseen complications. The event was first announced earlier this year and was project spearheaded by producer and EDM artist, Diplo. Mad Decent Block Party, which was set to take place at Gillette Stadium, had been scheduled for later this month prior to its cancellation. The dates for the event were July 20 & 21, just a few weeks away. The event organizers put out a statement explaining that it would be impossible for them to put on the festival in the way they had envisioned, therefore they decided it was best to cancel the event for now. Refunds are being given back to those who had already purchased tickets, with the process already having started.

Mad Decent Block Party was set to be headlined by artists such as Billie Eilish and G-Eazy, not to mention a variety of other acts. Diplo himself was set to perform at the event, with other EDM artists including Major Lazer and Zeds Dead. Some of the other artists set to perform included rappers J.I.D. and Pusha T. The festival was also supposed to have games and activities available for guests, these including paintball and go-karts. The full statement made regarding the cancellation of the festival can be found on the event’s official website, linked here.
