After thirty seven years, the iconic thrash metal band Slayer is saying goodbye as they work their way through their farewell tour. Although Slayer is currently finishing up the first leg of their farewell tour, the group decided to extend the tour a bit longer by adding one last leg to the tour soon after they released a teaser trailer. This extension, “The Final Campaign” will begin on November 11th of 2019 and end on November 30th of the same year. The group will be visiting a number of cities including Asheville, Hershey, New York, Columbus, Omaha, Oakland, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles among other cities. Slayer, Primus, Philip H. Anselmo, and The Illegals will be opening for Slayer on the final leg.
Seeing the American metal band Ministry perform on “The Final Campaign” will be quite the exciting event considering the band’s electric stage presence. Frontman of Ministry Al Jourgensen announced that they will be performing a number of classic works. Additionally, in support of the Wax Trax! label, the group has decided to perform a number of Wax Trax! era songs discovered in Ministry’s archives. Al Jourgensen also added, “In honor of Slayer’s final farewell, we will be serving all meat in the set, no appetizers, no dessert, just bringing the beef, baby. Looking forward to this!”
Update: Due to the first show selling out quickly, Slayer announced a second show in LA at the Forum. The show will take place the night before the first announced performance.
