Grunge and sludge metal pioneers the Melvins announced on their website that they plan to reissue their albums The Maggot and The Bootlicker in a 2LP gatefold set. On September 20, those who preorder the package will receive the set containing disc 1 on White vinyl and disc 2 on Doublemint vinyl.
The 2LP package cover features a picture of a bright pink rose with a black background and there will be a total of 25 songs jam-packed into the two LPs.
In May, Third Man Records announced that they will be releasing a set of three classic Melvins albums, “Houdini,” “Stoner Witch” and “Stag.” The set was offered for a limited time as only 1,500 copies of “Houdini” were distributed on July 5 along with 1,000 copies of “Stoner Witch” and “Stag.”
September will be an important month for the Melvins as they will start their 2019 American tour in San Diego along with releasing their 2 LP reissue package.
