Kate Nash Debuts Humble New Video For “Body Heat”

Singer and songwriter Kate Nash has released a brand new music video for the track “Body Heat,” which was released by the musician last year. “Body Heat” comes from Nash’s album Yesterday Was Forever, and has been a fan favorite since the project was released. Now Nash has decided to go back and make a music video for the track, taking a moment in between new projects to create the video. The music video for “Body Heat” came out just a few days before the singer released a brand new single titled “Bad Lieutenant.” Kate Nash also just this weekend has had a documentary surrounding her journey as an artist release on BBC. The film is titled “Kate Nash: Underestimate the Girl” and is about the singer learning how to survive as an independent artist and maintain her creative freedom. Even aside from these, Nash has been hard at work on a variety of other interesting projects as well, delving more into her passion for film.

Kate Nash first came onto the music scene a little over a decade ago, making waves with her breakout album Made of Bricks in 2007. The album was a huge hit both in her home of the UK and abroad. The project spawned the hit tracks “Foundations” and “Merry Happy,” the former of which peaked at number 2 on the UK song charts. From there the singer released four more full studio albums, the most recent of which debuting last year.

Nash has also always been interested in acting as well and will star in the upcoming film Horrible Histories – The Movie, which will be released in the UK at the end of July. Over the years, Nash has had a variety of other acting roles as well, notably being cast as the wrestler Rhonda “Britannica” Richardson in the Netflix series GLOW. The singer is also currently gearing up for a European tour over the summer in addition to all these other pursuits. Nash has an incredibly packed schedule this year, but is still making time to release new music videos and content for fans,

The new video for “Body Heat” is quirky and funny just like Nash’s music, trying to put a new spin on the classic love song music video. The video features nash and an invisible man on vacation, filming their adventures on what seems like an old camcorder. While the man’s clothes can be seen throughout the video, his face, hands and body are all edited by what seems to be the use of green screens. All in all the video is a fun watch and fits with the single incredibly well. The music video can be found below for those who have yet to see it.
