Summer just got a little bit hotter! Diplo’s Major Lazer releases their hot new single, “Make It Hot,” featuring none other than Brazilian superstar Anitta. The pair made sure not to disappoint as Diplo continues to use their music to fight for peace and freedom. This new track comes just a few weeks after the group partnered with Skip Marley to release an inspiring dance-pop melody, “Can’t Take It From Me,” that promoted the message of love and resilience.
“Make It Hot” gives fans a spicy, upbeat Spanish club banger destined to brings listeners to their feet and put hips in motion. The track is a combination of Anitta’s “Spanish-language vocals” mixed with Major Lazer dancehall-inspired signature sound.
“I think it’s difficult for anyone to listen to this song and remain still,” Anitta stated.

This is not the first collaboration between the two as both Aniita and Major Lazer premiered on “Sua Cara.” Not only was the single the fastest video to ever reach 1 million likes on YouTube, but it was also considered as one of the biggest YouTube video launches in 2017 with over 25 million views on its premiere day.
Superstar Aniita notes the opportunity of working with Major Lazer as amazing and special due to her ability to “work in synergy with someone who completes [her] artistically.” She compares the work dynamic between her and Major Lazer as being one similar to those you have with “being around family and close friends.”
Recently, Major Lazer collaborated with Skip Marley for an epic dance-pop melody, “Can’t Take It From Me.” The song and visuals were part of Diplo’s new era, which marks the return of the Major Lazer character from the beyond.
Per the press release, after finding enlightenment, Major Lazer gave up his physical form. He then returned in spirit to spread the words of Lazerism with the help of his loyal followers Diplo, Walshy Fire, and the Lazer Gyals. To reach his listeners, Major Lazer message “has taken the form of music,” while his “teachings have taken the form of songs for Diplo and Walshy to put down on records.” He blessed the Lazer Gyal.
As of now, the group continues to work on their fourth studio album, while Anitta continues to promote their collaborations after wrapping up her recent Spotify performance.
