California dance pop outfit !!!, pronounced “chk chk chk,” has announced a brand new album for release later this year. The group is well known for their funk fueled dance music, perfecting their sound for nearly 20 years. The new album is titled Wallop and is set to be released August 30 this year. Alongside the official announcement of their new album, !!! also released a single from the project. The song is called “Serbia Drums” and follows up the previous two singles released earlier this year. The former two singles, which were released together, were titled “UR Paranoid” and “Off The Grid.” The band is in full album release mode now and fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of !!!’s 8th studio album.

The band was formed in the late 1990s in Sacramento, California as an experiment with creating stronger and more punk influenced dance tracks. Since then the group has been on the forefront of experimental dance music, continually exploring new sounds and ideas. !!! released their first full album, a self-titled project, in 2000 and began making a name for themselves. From there the group released their second studio album, titled Louden Up Now, which peaked at number 4 on the US Dance/Electronic music chart. One of the most popular songs from that album was the intense and very obviously punk influenced “Pardon My Freedom.” Fastforwarding to last year, the most recent music from the band was its 2018 EP MEGAM!!!X Vol 1: Shake Shake Shake. The project was mainly focused on club music, moving a bit farther away from the group’s occasional punk sound.

The new “Serbia Drums” single sees !!! moving towards a more pop-centric sound, still incorporating strong elements of dance music. The track is incredibly bright and features both a catchy hook and melody. With this new track and the previously released singles, fans can already get a taste for what the full Wallop album will sound like.
