According to Flood Magazine, Run the Jewels, aka RTJ, teamed up by rapper/producer El-P and rapper Killer Mike, shared a newsletter and posted their picture with Rick Rubin on Instagram. The picture took in Rick Rubin’s Malibu Sangri-La studio cements their upcoming album Run the Jewels 4, most importantly, it adds the touch pen from legendary producer Rick Rubin who brings the work of art to life.
Before that, the process of recording Run the Jewels 4 seems not easy for the American hip hop duo. The two received critics and support at the same time for their most recent album Run the Jewels 3. El-P even completely deleted his Twitter last December after the announcement of their upcoming album. But this time, the group is well prepared and excited to share their new album. The duo also promised the new record will be the best record they have ever made.
“We’ve been going hard on RTJ4 and have a genuine excitement to share new music with you all,” the group relayed. “We stand behind our statement that this record is going to punch you in the fucking face and burn everything in its path. We thank you for your continued patience as we put together what we believe will be our best record yet.”
