Upon signing with Elektra Records, garage-punk band White Reaper releases new single “Might Be Right.” The new song marks the first new music from White Reaper since the release of their celebrated 2017 LP, The World’s Best American Band.
“I remember seeing the big Elektra ‘E’ on the back of so many of my favorite Cars, Doors, Queen and Metallica records. I still can’t believe it, “Vocalist/guitarist Tony Esposito recounts. Drummer Nick Wilkerson added, “It’s awesome to be a part of a label with such [a rich] history.”
Stereogum describes the song as beginning with a “melody on the keys and then shifts to include bass and thrusting drums. The guitar work is impressive, with two players locking into unbelievably pleasing harmonized solos that hark back to the stylistics of ’80s big hair bands.”

Along with a new song, the band also announced a fall headline tour.
According to the press release, “White Reaper will hit the road for a headline run of U.S. dates with support from Twen, kicking off June 13that Toledo, Ohio’s Ottawa Tavern. Later this summer they will head overseas for a pair of performances at the venerable Reading & Leeds festival happening August 23rd and 25th followed by a stop at Indian Summer in Glasgow. This September, they will play both Bourbon & Beyond and Louder Than Life festivals in their hometown, as well as Riot Fest and Ohana Music and Arts Festival.”
