Ingrid Michaelson @ Webster Hall 10/28-10/29

“The Way I Am” songstress Ingrid Michaelson is going on tour this fall, and will hit up NYC’s Webster Hall on Monday, October 28th and Tuesday, October 29th. Doors for this 16 and up show will open at 7:00pm, with first sounds reaching the crowd at 8:00pm. Tickets are going for $64.50 for advance General Admission purchases, but all tickets bought on the day of the show will be priced slightly higher at $70.

Ingrid Michaelson is arguably one of the most notable independent singer/songwriters of the millennial era. Songs such as “The Way I Am” and “You and I” blasted through the boomboxes, walkman players, and iPods of thousands upon thousands of teenage ears in the mid-to-late 2000s. Since those fateful years, Michaelson has built a brilliant career for herself, releasing a total of eight studio albums thus far – all of which have made their mark on the US charts.

This tour will be in support of Michaelson’s latest album Stranger Songs, to be released in a few short weeks on June 28th. Stranger Songs is garnering much attention due to the album’s overall theming and inspiration, which is centered around the record breaking Netflix thriller television series Stranger Things. Non-coincidentally, the album is poised for release shortly before the release date of Stranger Things’ third season, July 4th.

Whether you’re into the show or not, these songs are relatable and fun regardless – and are sure to be the soundtrack of your summer.

Melissa Aiello: Hi there, nice to meet you! My name is Melissa and I am a 24-year-old passionate lover of all things related to music and live entertainment. I've been singing since the second grade, and playing guitar for the past five years. I grew up in a fairly musical household, with my grandfather breaking out his accordion and starting sing-a-longs at every family gathering. It was here that I began falling in love with music and its power to change moods, emotions, and lives. My taste in music goes far and wide - you name it, I'll (probably) listen to it. My hundreds of Spotify playlists include everything from Biggie to ABBA to the Jonas Brothers (thank GOD they're back together) to Dolly Parton and everything in-between. I aim for my little corner of the internet to spread love and positivity for all this beautiful music, and give you the opportunity to see or hear artists you may otherwise have not heard of.
