Good news for fans of Danish DJ Anders Trentemøller. He is back with his first new song since “Hands Down” dropped in 2017, six months after his most recent album 2016’s Fixion released, according to previous article mxdwn.

It has not been radio silence from Trentemøller since then, as mxdwn noted that he did announce a compilation album and a cover of Neil Young’s “Transformer Man” in 2018, but this has been his first original work shared since “Hands Down,” over two years ago.

The single is titled “Sleeper” and the music video is out for it as well. The video is just as simplistic and beautiful as the song itself, featuring a POV of a camera walking across a foggy bridge over a lake with birds flying across and as the song comes to an end, you have “walked” across the water and into a beautiful forest. The video for “Sleeper” is shot in black and white.

The song clocks in at four minutes and 35 seconds, but honestly it is a track you can listen to all day. It is dreamy and serene and is entirely instrumental, with no lyrics at all, which is not too typical of Trentemøller, as his songs typically feature lyrics, such as the amazing “… Even Though You’re With Another Girl”. It is not atypical for EDM tracks not to have lyrics though, as most of them originally did not and just focused on the music itself.

There is no official news on whether or not an album or EP is coming, but, in the news section of Trentemøller’s official website there is post “Looking Forward to 2019” in which he states that he has been “busy in the studio, having a good, sometimes hard, but always creative time” and that he “can’t wait to be able to present some crazy new music to you folks on a later point of this year.” So it is safe to say that “Sleeper” is just the beginning of Trentemøller’s new releases in the upcoming months.

From this link “Sleeper” is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, iTunes Store, Deezer, Amazon Music, Tidal, Pandora, Beatport, junodownload, Traxsource, Google Play, and YouTube.
