Inglewood-raised, LA-based indie rock boy band Inner Wave will be making their triumphant return to Austin this Friday, May 31st. Over a decade in the making, the five-piece ensemble has recently made their debut outside of their comfortable Bandcamp bubble with their newest album, “wya”. To their core, Inner Wave is an indie rock quintet. Dive a little deeper and you’ll notice their eloquent floating between psychedelic and synthwave sounds entirely unique to the band. Singing about the woes of young adults with a lavish balance of morose melodicism and high-energy quirkiness, Inner Wave delivers a sound that’ll allow you to lose yourself in your own mind.
Inner Wave will be performing tonight at the locally acclaimed Antone’s Night Club. Famous for its ability and burning desire to draw the best of the blues from across the country, Antone’s has helped to cultivate acts like Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bob Schnieder, and Gary Clark Jr. The classic feel of the venue is reminiscent of Austin’s musical heyday and offers prime viewing and sound quality for a picture-perfect show.
Doors will open at 7 PM tonight with the show beginning at 8 PM.
Ages 18+ are welcome to come enjoy the tunes.
Tickets are $17 and can be purchased here.
