Inara George and Greg Kurstin, of The Bird and The Bee, are set to perform in a special upcoming show. Artists joining are Foo Fighter’s Dave Grohl, on the drums, and Justin Meldal-Johnsen on the bass. The show will take place August 2nd, at The Johnson Anson Ford Theater in Los Angeles.
Having worked with Dave Grohl previously, Inara and Greg were featured on the Foo Fighter’s song “Dirty Water” back in 2017. Background vocals on the song were done by Inara, while Kurstin played the synth. Kurstin also produced the Foo Fighter’s corresponding album Concrete and Gold, which the song was featured on. Greg Kurstin has gained notoriety through his work with Sia, Adele, and Beck, winning seven Grammy’s throughout his career in producing and as a multi-instrumentalist.
The Bird and The Bee recently shared a cover of the classic Van Halen Panama. Both big fans growing up of Van Halen, Inera and Greg put their own spin on recreating the classic song. The first new music released by them since their 2015 album Recreational Love.
