Halsey Drops Haunting New Music Video and Single Entitled “Nightmare”

Following the chart-topping, four time Platinum single “Without Me,” Grammy award nominated artist Halsey released a new song called “Nightmare.” The song, examining the expectations placed on women in our society, comes with a video. The powerful new single that tackles prevalent topics in today’s society was released by Capitol Records.

The accompanying video that unveiled in a YouTube Premiere, came from a concept by Halsey that features a strong full female cast. Hannah Lux Davis, two time MTV VMA winner, directed the video in addition to her video for “Alone.” Last weeks fans got the opportunity to see Halsey in an intimate setting as a sold-out two-night stand at New York City’s Webster Hall. Here she performed her debut album, Badlands which came out in 2015 on the first night and her second album out in 2017 called Hopeless Foundation Kingdom on the second evening. She also recently joined Khalid onstage at Coachella 2019 for a performance of “Eastside.”

Halsey set multiple records with her previously mentioned song “Without Me.” In 2019 she became the first artist in history to replace herself at number one twice on the U.S. Pop Songs Airplay chart when the track took over for “Eastside.” “Without Me” is also the longest-running Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit by a female artist in this century and one of only 9 songs ever to spend more than 28 weeks in the top 10.
