Jon Bellion is blowing up the indie-pop scene as an insightful lyricist and songwriter. Bellion grew up in Long Island, NY, and started writing songs while in high school. He co-wrote Eminem’s GRAMMY winning song,“Monster” featuring Rihanna, and “Trumpets” by Jason Derulo. He shares his own music directly with listeners, helping him earn a strong following of young listeners. His hit song “All Time Low” is certified Double Platinum in the US and Australia with over 300 million streams on Spotify. His 2016 album, The Human Condition, gives voice to many of this generation’s emotions and challenges, and caught the attention of Disney Pixar for a movie soundtrack. Bellion’s newest album, Glory Sound Prep, is equally as good. Check out “Blu” from that album.
Lawrence is the project of two siblings from New York City. Their eight piece band, featuring a horn section, produces fun and catchy songs with a pop-soul focus. The Lawrence siblings grew up listening to Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Randy Newman, and their influence is clear throughout their music. Their quirky, soulful music is fun and danceable. Listen to their number one song on Spotify, “Do You Wanna Do Nothing with Me?” and “Misty Morning.”
Marc E. Bassy is an R&B singer with Justin Timberlake swagger. You know him from his certified Platinum hit, “You & Me” featuring G-Eazy, which has over 281 million streams on Spotify. He has put out a lot of music that’s worth the same accolades, including three albums and two EP’s. Give “Morning” and “Dirty Water” a listen, and I’m sure you’ll be hooked by Bassy’s dreamy vocals and catchy beats.
