mxdwn PREMIERE: Pekoe Cat Deals With Insecurity in the Creative Process with New Song “Invisibility Cloak”

Canadian musician Kyle Woolven performs under the stage name Pekoe Cat and today we’re excited to premiere his latest song, “Invisibility Cloak.” The song clocks in at just over three minutes and is a concise nugget of synthy pop, with an upbeat, handclapping beat driving the song with guitars dripping with effects and a undeniable bass-line bringing it home.

“I have a love/hate relationship with my music,” said Woolven. “I love creating it; I hate it when it’s finished. I’m always struggling with feeling confident in my songs once I release a finished track. ‘Invisibility Cloak’ is a reflection of that. Or maybe it was a cool bassline – I can’t remember…”

Woolven hails from the small town of Belleville, Ontario. He released his first album as Pekoe Cat this year, an LP called Jungle Cat. He’s also released dozens of singles via Soundcloud.
