FKA Twigs debuted several new songs on her “Magdalene Tour” on May 11 and May 12 at New York’s Park Avenue Armory, as part of Red Bull Music Festival New York. The trip-hop musician previously performed at Los Angeles’ Palace Theatre last week on May 8th, as her first stop of her nine-stop international tour. “Magdalene Tour” is FKA Twigs’ first tour in practically three years.
During LA and New York’s performances, at least seven new songs surprised the audiences on the opening stints. The full setlist for LA appearance released ahead including“1000 Eyes”, “Mary Magdalene”, “Sad Day”, and “Day Bed,” Consequence of Sound reports. Check out the LA gig setlist below.
The music videos debuting live performances of new singles are available on social media platforms. Tracks as “Fukk Sleep” “Lonely,” “Make a Wish,” “Home with You,” and many more were recorded and tweeted by audiences. During the cinematic performances, the singer, as well as dancer, provided pole works, operatic torch ballad, the masked gig with her unique sobbing tune. The shows were finished under a theater-ornamented mansion coming alongside with spacious stage. Check out the music clips below.
Twigs confirmed her returns by releasing new single “Cellophane” on April 24, her first release since “Good To Love” in 2016. The atmospheric, futuristic and vulnerable track gained immediate attention from media and fans since the announcement.
