LANY with FLETCHER at the Fillmore 5/20

LANY is an indie pop trio from Los Angeles. Loosely formed by three friends in 2014, LANY originally broke into the pop scene after uploading two anonymous tracks on SoundCloud, “Hot Lights,” and “Walk Away.” After uploading more anonymous tracks, LANY eventually revealed their identity with the release of their two singles, “Made in Hollywood” and “Bad, Bad, Bad.” Shortly after LANY signed with Polydor Records. LANY has captivated the indie pop sphere with their mix of 80s pop vibes and mellow electronic beats, gaining over 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their new single “okay” featuring Julia Michaels was just released last month. I’d also check out their cover of Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” on their Spotify Singles session.

Joining LANY is another viral all-caps electro-pop artist, FLETCHER. The 22 year old New Jersey native puts a unique spin on pop with a dreamy but honest voice. FLETCHER uses her music to play with identity and reject the notions that gender and sexuality must be defined. Her first single, “War Paint” went viral and now has over 23 million streams on Spotify. She dropped her first EP in 2016, featuring the hit “Wasted Youth,” and most recently released her new single “If You’re Gonna Lie” last month.
