Dub Trio announced their new album The Shape of Dub to Come earlier this April, now it’s time for the heavy metal dub band to map out a Summer 2019 tour in support of their fifth album. The Brooklyn-based heavy metal band has released month-hiatus tour with the joint of INCUBUS, which embarks at DC9 in Washington, DC on May 9.
The Shape of Dub to Come Summer tour, named after their latest album, is coming to venues throughout the United States and Europe. May is the first round of tour, the trio stops by handful cities in east coast including hometown performance at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn next week. After three-month rest, the North American portion starts again at Voodoo Room in San Diego, CA on August 29 until it ends at Valley Bar in Phoenix, AZ on September 28. November is the anchor leg, the tour relays and keeps running throughout cities in Europe, hitting Brussels, Amsterdam, London, Bourges, Saint Etienne, and wraps at Ebullition in Bulle, Switzerland on November 15.
The new album is Dub Trio’s first album in eight years in which they has previously shared dark and gritty opener, “World of Inconvenience,” featuring King Buzzo. Today Trio shared a new music video “Bad Comrade” of their live performance, featuring bassist Stu Brooks, guitarist DP Holmes and drummer Joe Tomino. Inspired by the title of “The Shape of,” trio keeps their doom and hardcore punk with violent and fantasy imagery in slow tempo. Check out the music video/song below.
Tickets for the upcoming tour go on sale on Friday at 10 am local time. For more music in The Shape of Dub to Come check here.
