Titus Andronicus, the burgeoning pop rock band, has released a new single; a track titled “Tumult Around The World.” The song was not released alone, as a visualizer was put up on Youtube to accompany the track. The second track to be released from their upcoming An Obelisk project, “Tumult Around The World” follows up the powerful “(I Blame) Society.” The first single from the group of the year, the song is a classic punk rock track even down to the anti-establishment title. Both of these tracks prove that Titus Andronicus are at the top of their game and are set to release one of the best projects of their career. The band is set to release An Obelisk on June 21.
The visualizer for “Tumult Around The World” is a simple video, featuring lead singer Patrick Stickles simply relaxing on the couch listening to the track. The visualizer is just as quirky as one would expect from Titus Andronicus, putting the band’s charm on the concept a song visualizer.
The band is currently planning on doing a small run of shows in support of the album, taking part in a short tour later this summer. The first show takes place the night of the album release in Brooklyn. From there the group is going to move down the eastern United States over the course of the next month. Fans that have yet to get their tickets may be out of luck, however, as nearly all of the shows are already sold out. As of now, the only show with tickets still available is in Fredericksburg, Virginia on July 27. The speed at which these shows sold out just goes to show that Titus Andronicus is set for one of their biggest albums so far. Titus Andronicus is also slated to perform at the upcoming Westward Music Festival this fall in Vancouver, Canada.
