Dirty Projectors has announced a new summer co-headlining tour with Deerhunter. The new set of tour dates is set to kick off July 17 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA and will make its way to the east coast with shows in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., and New York before concluding Sept. 13 in Boston. Tickets for the shows will go on sale Friday, May 3 at 10 am local time. More information can be found on the band’s website. Prior to the co-headlining tour, the band will play a few solo gigs and festival sets including one at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound music festival. See the full list of tour dates below.
The tour is in support of their latest album Lamp Lit Prose, released earlier last year. The album included collaborations with Haim, Robin Pecknold, Syd, Empress Of, Amber Mark, Rostam Batmanglij and Dear Nora. It was praised by critics with NewYork Times calling it“The band’s shiniest, catchiest set of songs yet.”
Fellow band Deerhunter released their new album Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? earlier this year, and recently wrapping up their latest headlining tour in support of the album. They are set to play Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival this upcoming weekend, alongside Beck, Tame Impala, Cage the Elephant, and Incubus.
