Danny Brown is back with new music and in a huge way. The rapper has announced via a cover story with High Snobiety that a new record is indeed on the way. According to Consequence of Sound, the article from High Snobiety provided the title of the album, which is U Know What I’m Sayin? With that announcement, it was also reported that the legendary Q-Tip will serve as the executive producer for the anticipated LP. It was originally reported that Q-Tip was fully producing the album, but Brown clarified via Twitter that Q-Tip will be an executive producer.
It was also revealed that the new album will feature collaborations with JPEGMAFIA and Paul White. An official release date for the album has yet to be announced. Brown’s last musical effort was his track with OPE called Unfiltered, which was included on the Comedy Central show The New Negroes. His last album was Atrocity Exhibition, released three years ago. Brown was also featured on Gorillaz’s Humanz and released a documentary called Live at the Majestic, giving fans a glimpse behind the scenes of his performance at the iconic venue in Detroit.
Brown is currently scheduled to play Afropunk Atlanta alongside FKA Twigs, Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, and Smino, and Movement Detroit with Orbital, Floorplan, Hot Since 82 and Amelie Lens.
