Artists Ben Folds and Cake have announced that they will be co-headlining a tour this summer across the U.S. The artists previously toured together last August and will be back together in September for eleven shows. Ben Folds will also be co-headlining with Violent Femmes in August and will also make appearances with Nu Deco Ensemble. Folds is an eclectic singer-songwriter, who has produced music from alt rock to piano concertos. Cake is an equally diverse alt rock band, with influences from country, mariachi, Iranian folk music, and hip hop. Both artists have been recently back in the studio after a lengthy hiatus. Cake latterly released “Sinking Ship,” their first song in seven years, and Folds released “Mister Peepers,” his first solo track since 2008.
Folds and Cake’s co-headlining tour is set to play in venues from the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Montana to The Theatre at Grand Prairie, Texas. With VIP tickets, fans will not only get a Meet and Greet with Folds, but they will also receive a signed copy his his memoir, A Dream About Lightning Bugs.
