The Oklahoma rock band The Flaming Lips has announced a twelve-date summer tour with American psychedelic rock band The Claypool Lennon Delirium and Particle Kid, aka Los Angeles-based experimental musician and visual artist J. Micah Nelson.
The summer tour supports their 15th full-length studio album, King’s Mouth: Music And Songs, which will be released on July 19 via Warner Brothers Record with a limited edition of vinyl, CD and digital. Earlier this month, The Flaming Lips firstly released new single “All For The Life of the City” from King’s Mouth. The upcoming album comes with current art exhibition A King’s Mouth: An Immersive Installation, which ends at Rough Trade NYC on May 31, and visual book King’s Mouth: Immerse Heap Trip Fantasy Experience. Leader Wayne Coyne believes both help them express the story of the new album: “The King’s Mouth immersive/child-like qualities are born from the same spark and womb as The Flaming Lips’ live performances. The King’s Mouth adventure was made for humans of all sizes, ages, cultures, and religions.”
