After a month-long tour of North America with The Gothenburg String Theory band, Swedish singer-songwriter and guitarist José González has announced a solo tour set to take place later this summer.
González has been nothing but busy as he has collaborated with several groups over the past few months, including The String Theory. According to MXDWN.COM, González has recently released a song with Zero 7 titled “Aurora”, which is featured on their new 12″.
González will be taking a writing break from music collaborations and his forthcoming studio album to tour a number of Midwest cities, including his third trip to Denver’s Botanic Gardens.
González is to be accompanied on the majority of his solo tour with folk singer Bedouine. She has recently debuted her second studio album, Bird Songs of Killjoy.
On August 24, the pair can be seen beginning the tour at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, Colorado. The tour will continue east as it reaches its final stop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the Pabst Theatre on August 31.
For a preview of what’s to come, González & The String Theory have recently released José González & The String Theory: Live in Europe, a collaboration album recorded during the sold-out tour of Europe. Fans will be treated to new visions of classic songs such as “Every Age” and “Let it Carry You”. Also, the album will feature original renditions of music taken from González’s 2003 breakout debut “Veneer”, 2007’s “In Our Nature” and 2015’s “Vestiges & Claws.”
