Carly Rae Jepsen, the American pop singer just released her first single, “Julien” from her new album Dedicated. Dedicated is going to be released on May 17th by School Boy/Interscope Records. The single, “Julien” was produced by Kyle Shearer and written by Jepsen, Shearer, Ben Ruttner, Nate Cyphert and Jared Manierka. The song is fast paced and has an electric beat. The song has an electric disco vibe that makes you want to dance for hours. Her voice is enchanting making you want to sing along with Jeppsen. It’s a song about the stress of love and the intense want of another. It’s a pop song that has an interesting modern beat and creative lyrics that have not been heard before. You may not know anyone named “Julien”, but the song makes you feel as if you are pining for someone named “Julien”. Jepsen tweets about her new song sharing, “Julien” is the song that taught me the heart and direction of this album. Couldn’t keep him for myself any longer.” Her new pop single is an emotional song with a dreamy vibe and a funk groove.
Jepsen will go on tour this summer for her Dedicated Tour in North America starting on June 27th to August 11th. Most of the dates are currently sold out, but she still has open shows in many cities like Austin, Phoenix and New Orleans. Her tour will also hit major cities like San Francisco, New York, and Chicago. Carly was nominated for a Grammy in 2012 and her song “Call Me Maybe” skyrocketed as a musical hit in that year as well. Her last album E*MO*TION which was released in 2015 left critics and fans impressed with Jepsen. Target will have a special Dedication CD with two extra exclusive songs.
