Christine and the Queens Cancels Performance at Second Weekend of Coachella In Wake of Mother’s Death

With the second weekend of Coachella just a day away, ticket holders will see one act missing from the lineup. According to Pitchfork, French pop singer Héloïse Letissier aka Christine and the Queens has announced that she has canceled her festival performance due to her mother’s passing.

Letissier’s mom passed away in France Tuesday, April 16th and the singer has gone home to be with her family during this hard time. In a tweet posted on her social media account, Letissier wrote in French which translates to; “I can only write very simple sentences. I lost my mother on Tuesday night. I came back to cross this event with my loved ones – I will not be able to sing this Saturday. I kiss you.”
