80’s rock band Ministry provided New York fans the ultimate nostalgia trip on Monday night. In celebration of their recently released documentary Industrial Accident: The Story of Wax Trax! Records, the band performed in Brooklyn filled with their classic 80’s and 90’s songs including“Stigmata,” “Thieves,” “Burning Inside,” “The Land of Rape and Honey,” and “Just One Fix.” According to Brooklyn Vegan, former Ministry member Chris Connelly joined the band for “Burning Inside,” a dubbed-out take on “So What,” and a great encore version of Revolting Cocks’ “No Devotion.” The setlist also included a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Supernaut” and an acoustic version of Ministry’s song Wax Trax! and “(Everyday is) Halloween” which was also played live for the first time in over 30 years at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, CA late last year. Check out the full setlist from the show below.
The band recently kicked off a mini-tour on Record Store Day in Chicago on April 13th, the same release day of the documentary. The celebration continues in other cities including Toronto, Austin, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Fellow band Cold Cave and Wes Eisold are also a part of the tour. See the list of upcoming tour dates below. Cold Cave released their newest single “Promised Land” earlier this year serving as the follow up to their 2018 album You & Me & Infinity dubbed as an album filled with “vampire dance jams.”
