He has multiple Grammy Awards under his belt, with his 2001 soundtrack album, O Brother, Where Art Thou, winning Album of the Year in 2002. His contribution to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ Raising Sandalso brought home the same award in 2009. His two partners for this upcoming project are drummer and percussionist Bellerose, and Ciancia, an Emmy nominated musician and producer who has been collaborating with Burnett for quite some time now.
Central to their trilogy series is technology, and “how it has advanced significantly throughout the course of the last century”. For their first release Acoustic Space, “people hear from every direction at once,” and “the center is everywhere, and there is no border.”
