Metallica recently announced a show with the San Francisco Symphony and fans are fuming as tickets sold out in minutes for two pre-sales. Scalp bots appear to be the problem of this event, as the tickets ended up on resale websites such as StubHub almost instantaneously.
Fans are not being quiet about their frustration and annoyance with the problem and have taken to sources like Reddit and Twitter to voice it. The main annoyance is that tickets for the show are now being resold for thousands of dollars on these third party sites. As of now, Metallica and Ticketmaster have not commented on the matter.
The announcement of the reunion show between the San Francisco Symphony and Metallica came earlier this week. It will be conduced by Michael Tilson Thomas to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their live album S&M. The show is called S&M2 and will take place on September 6 at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Regular ticket sale will take place on March 22 here.
Metallica has been busy recently while releasing a charity album in late 2018 to raise money for the All Within My Hands Foundation that was started by the group. Additionally, they partook in a tribute concert to honor and celebrate Chris Cornell this January. Fans can expect a great upcoming performance with the San Francisco Symphony even amidst the frustrations with the pre-sales. Below are tweets from fans vocalizing their anger.

@Metallica This presale was a joke. My wife & I have both been trying since 10am and no luck after a hundred tries. Than Stubhub & SFTickets are reselling already for ten times the ticket price. We have followed you guys since we were kids & saw the first S&M show in Berkeley. 😩
