Experimental metal band, Cult of Luna, have announced a record deal with label Metal Blade Records. Along with the announcement of the band singing with a label, Cult of Luna announced a series of European tour dates. The group will be doing a stretch of solo performances throughout the summer; later joining A.A Williams for another leg of shows later this winter. As of now the band has not released the full list of performances for the winter tour, with a few dates still labeled TBA on the official tour poster. The 2018 tour season for Cult of Luna is set to take of on May 18th, with the band playing in Huskavarna Folkets Park in Sweden.
Cult of Luna has been making music for nearly two decades, releasing their debut album in 2001. The group has spent this time honing their sound and consistently releasing higher quality music for their fans. Most recently the group released the album Mariner in 2016, debuting some of Cult of Luna’s most popular tracks yet with it. A collaboration album with Julie Christmas, the album gave way to the songs “The Wreck of S.S. Needle” and “A Greater Call.” Cult of Luna also released a DVD titled Years In A Day in 2017, giving fans another avenue to enjoy the group’s music. After teasing new music in 2018, fans of Cult of Luna are eagerly waiting the group’s next release. The band is happy to have signed with Metal Blade Records, stating that the deal is a brand new journey for the band to embark upon. Cult of Luna will hopefully be announcing details of their Metal Blade Records debut soon.
