Hozier @ Hammerstein Ballroom 11/21-11/26

Bishop of alt-rock Hozier will take fans to church during five shows at Hammerstein Ballroom from November 21-26 as part of his “Wasteland, Baby!” 2019 tour. Depending on where in the venue you’d like to be, tickets range from $49.50-59.50 plus fees – or more pricey for tickets being resold for certain nights. Doors to his phenomenal folk-rock sermon will open at 7:00pm, and the show begins at 8:00pm sharp.

Although a supporting act has yet to be announced, Hozier hardly needs an introduction; fans new and old will be in awe of his musicality and electric stage presence during his live shows. After making his North American debut in 2014 with his first self-titled record—featuring Billboard Hot 100 hit “Take Me To Church”—Hozier exploded in the states, quickly inking a record deal with Columbia Records. Five years later, he’s blessed our ears with his sophomore full-length release, Wasteland, Baby!

Wasteland, Baby! debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart, and for good reason. The album is filled to the brim with power ballad after power ballad, each with a different sonic image that, when played altogether, still manages to flow wonderfully. Hozier’s talent as a songwriter shines through, crafting beautiful tracks such as “Almost (Sweet Lover)” and “To Noise Making (Sing)” that you’ll be keeping on repeat for days to come. All of these songs are punctuated with his gorgeously strong, distinctive vocal, which sounds even better when heard live. Trust me, this is a show worth catching.

Melissa Aiello: Hi there, nice to meet you! My name is Melissa and I am a 24-year-old passionate lover of all things related to music and live entertainment. I've been singing since the second grade, and playing guitar for the past five years. I grew up in a fairly musical household, with my grandfather breaking out his accordion and starting sing-a-longs at every family gathering. It was here that I began falling in love with music and its power to change moods, emotions, and lives. My taste in music goes far and wide - you name it, I'll (probably) listen to it. My hundreds of Spotify playlists include everything from Biggie to ABBA to the Jonas Brothers (thank GOD they're back together) to Dolly Parton and everything in-between. I aim for my little corner of the internet to spread love and positivity for all this beautiful music, and give you the opportunity to see or hear artists you may otherwise have not heard of.
