New Music Alert: Chloe Chaidez of Kitten Forms New Group Nasty Cherry with Charli XCX’s Drummer and Releases New Song “Win”

Your Nasty Cherry is served. The mysterious girl group finally dropped their newborn song “Win” to offer a taste since they officially but wittily announced their band earlier on Instagram.

According to Stereogum, the group was formed by guitarist Chloe Chaidez (frontman of Kitten), drummer Debbie Knox-Hewson (former Charli XCX), bassist Georgia Somary (set director in Star Wars) and singer Gabbriette Bechtel (model for the recent cover of Galore). Charli XCX exposed her sassy characteristics by creatively recreating nostalgia in the music video for “1999” featuring Troye Sivan last year. Now she has three more fellows to have fun with. Co-signed from Charli XCX’s label Vroom Vroom Recordings, the quartet has been working together and will debut their upcoming EP.

“Win” was co-written by Charli and produced by Justin Raisen (Sky Ferreira and Angel Olsen), and will be performed in the all-female band’s first headline show in L.A at the Moroccan Lounge on Friday, March 15 (press HERE for tickets). The song is full of gritty energy with a bitchy tune. Lyrics like “We’ve played this game twice, I won’t play nice,” and “You can’t take me down, baby roll the dice” demonstrates their strong personality and promising talents. The craft combination is exactly what the young and new have been waiting for. Enjoy below.
