Foals Release Grainy Black-and-White Video for Heart-Pounding New Song “White Onions”

The British are coming. The England rock band Foals released their newest music video of “White Onions” via Youtube today. The video, which begins with the close-up of lead vocals Yannis Philippakis, then comes with leaping tempos alongside with the heavy drums sounds by Jack Bevan, rock guitar by Jimmy Smith and keyboards player Edwin Congreave. The music video interprets Foals message by only setting a black and white tone, grainy image and studio live performance. It’s simple but powerful.

Besides “On The Luna,” “White Onions” is undoubtedly another banger of the album Part 1 Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost  dropped on March 8. Just as the meaning as the name of the album, we hear their restless impulses that urgently want to “break the cage” and save their soul from the maze. With soaring melodies elevating the lyrical unease (I see you lie, I see you lay, I see you there, Oh oh, I’ll fight for it, I’ll fight for it, I’ll fight for it), the track shows a band that’s young but no less adept at churning out earnest, cathartic hooks.

Part 2 Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost will be announced in Autumn. But they are non-stop during this time. Earlier last month, they also announced the Spring 2019 tour dates with Bear Hands, Preoccupations, Omni and Kiev. This time not just enjoy the music video, Foals lovers from all over the world can experience the indie rock band’s live performance.
