Chemical Brothers Trains Dog To Go Into Space In New Video For “We’ve Got To Try”

In the new video by The Chemical Brothers, “We’ve Got To Try” a young woman finds a stray dog in a dark alley and takes him in as her own. She also introduces the dog to a group of scientists who teach the dog to not only drive but fly a plane. As the young woman cheers him on while he’s driving the racetrack and doing tests, the dog seems unfulfilled in trying to master these tricks. The video is filled with adorable scenes of this sweet mixed breed pooch, who adds his own flavor to the track with barks here and there during the video.

In the video, scientists create a simulator to showcase their extraordinary achievement in manipulating a dog to achieve success in the form of human endeavors. In the end the dog aborts mission and flies into space landing at the Dog Planet where he is sharing his story with other canines that are eager to hear his story. The most adorable part aside from it being a sweet dog is the hoodie and sweater he wears throughout the video.

Fans have commented on the video with, “Who says you can’t teach a new dog old tricks?” and “Every single the Chemical Bros. have released from their new upcoming album have been nothing, but bangers. They continue to come up with the most creative music videos to this day.”

The Chemical Brothers will release their new album No Geography on April 12, The Chemical Brothers have been enlisted by Formula 1 to kickstart this year’s events. The video was directed by Ninian Doff (Pulse Films), the mastermind behind their video for “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted” in 2015. They recently released new track, “Got to Keep on” directed by Michel and Olivier Gondry where a group of dancers create an ultra-trippy, surrealist version of Soul Train.

The band is made up of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons who started the group in Manchester, England back in 1989. Pioneers at bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture, they achieved widespread success when their second album Dig Your Own Hole topped the UK charts in 1997. In the United Kingdom they have had six number one albums and 13 top 20 singles, including two number ones.

The duo will be playing in Mexico City, Mexico and in Los Angeles, California in May 2019. In June they will play in Russia and England before heading to the Doctor Music Festival in Spain, The Netherlands and Japan in July. They will be touring through November of this year.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
